The Settings view lets you fine-tune how the Google Customer Reviews survey and Google Store Widget behave on your store.

Survey settings

Merchant ID

Your Google Merchant Center ID. This is required for the app to function. If you haven't added it yet, see Finding your Google Merchant Center ID.

Average delivery days

The number of days added to the order date to estimate when the customer will receive their purchase. Google uses this estimated delivery date to determine when to send the review survey. The default is 2 days.

For example, if a customer places an order on 1 January and your average delivery days is set to 5, Google will treat 6 January as the estimated delivery date and schedule the survey to be sent after that date.

Set this to a value that reflects a realistic delivery window for most of your orders. If your products typically take longer to arrive (for example, international shipping or made-to-order items), increase this accordingly.

Opt-in style

Controls where the Google survey opt-in dialog appears on the proxy page when a customer clicks "Yes." Options include centre, bottom-right, bottom-left, top-right, top-left, or in a bottom tray. The default is Centre.

Google recommends placing the opt-in at the centre of the page, as other placements tend to result in lower opt-in rates.

Language

If you have a multi-lingual Shopify store our app settings allow you to select the language of the text that will appear in the survey opt-in pop-up from Google.

By default, this is set to auto-detect, which means Google will attempt to display the survey in the customer's browser language, but you can fix the language for everyone if you prefer consistency.

Supported languages include English (US, UK, Australian), Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.

For more details on how language works across the checkout block and proxy page, see Survey and checkout app block language support.

Enable product reviews

When enabled, the app will send product barcodes (GTINs) with the survey data to Google when a customer opts in. This allows Google to collect product-level reviews in addition to store-level reviews, which can contribute to Google Product Ratings.

For this to work, your products need to have valid GTINs or barcodes set in Shopify.

Google considers a GTIN valid if it's properly formatted according to international standards and corresponds to a product listing in the Google Shopping catalogue.
